The health resort visits underground are available to adults and children over 4 years of age.
Treatment using the microclimate of underground salt chambers is based on the use of adaptive mechanisms of the human body, which is associated with the stimulation of the immune system. Shaping the natural human immunity is carried out in phases. Children over 4 years of age are psychophysically ready to use this method.Absolutely! First of all, you should specify the planned date of arrival and the number of people. After checking the availability of the date, you will receive a confirmation of the reservation or a proposition to change the date of arrival. The reservation is guaranteed once you make the advance payment in the time indicated in the confirmation.

You should also bring with you:
- ID
- a list of the medications you are taking
- information about hospital treatment and surgical procedures (excerpts – for consultation)
- information on allergies (if any)
- a set of current test results (photocopies which will be included in the Health Resort’s medical documentation)
No medical examination is required for a 1–3-day stay.
The contraindications to treatments include:
- active cancer or history of cancer before the end of the 5-year grace period
- primary or secondary immunodeficiencies
- infectious diseases in the clinical, acute and chronic stage (being a carrier is not a contraindication)
- serious damage to the locomotor system which prevents independent movement
- severe respiratory and circulatory insufficiency limiting ability to a sedentary lifestyle
- increased intracranial pressure, e.g. in the course of infectious diseases, injuries
- recent (up to 6 months) surgical procedure or trauma to the chest, abdomen, face, brain or eye area
- recent (up to 6 months) history of myocardial infarction or stroke
- aneurysms of cerebral vessels and aorta
- severe valvular defects of the heart
- diagnosed cardiac arrhythmias with risk of loss of consciousness
- unregulated hypertension, haemorrhagic flaws
- mental illness, especially claustrophobia
- rheumatic diseases that occur with the involvement of the skeletal and joint system
- epilepsy in the form of focal seizures with disturbances of consciousness and focal seizures in the form of tonic-clonic seizures on both sides

By deciding to accept the offer, you declare that you have become acquainted with the contraindications to stay in the salt workings of the Mine.
For an additional fee, you can take advantage of:
- accommodation at the Grand Sal**** Hotel, located on the premises of the Mine,
- dinners at the Grand Sal**** Hotel restaurant and lunch packages,
- booked transport from the Main Railway Station in Kraków or the Kraków-Balice Airport in both directions.
Children up to the age of 16 may enter the Mine only in the company of an adult guardian.
An adult taking part in a rehabilitation or treatment stay may also be the guardian of a child up to 16 years of age.
W trakcie pobytu
The descents into the mine take place via the Regis Shaft, pl. Kościuszki 9, in the centre of Wieliczka, entrance from the side of the fountain.
- The temperature underground is around 13–14.5°C.
- The air humidity is approx. 60–75%.
- The concentration of sodium chloride is 3-8 mg/m³.
- Comfortable athletic clothing suitable for the conditions (we recommend dressing in layers) and comfortable sports footwear – the temperature in the Health Resort is about 13–14.5°C.
- Your own provisions: snacks, coffee and tea and a cup, as well as a plate and cutlery.
In the space of the "Wieliczka" Health Resort, there are designated places where you can prepare and eat a simple meal.
When going underground, you should take your own provisions, e.g. snacks, beverages.
The Health Resort does not provide catering.In the Health Resort, you can relax, cut yourself off from the world and rest; there is no Internet access, there is no WiFi service available.
Early returns are not possible.
The Health Resort is located on the third level, i.e. 135 m underground, and the path to the chambers is about 700 meters. Patients cannot move independently through the underground workings, and the staff remains on the premises of the Health Resort with patients.In the free time from treatment sessions, patients can take advantage of many available attractions. For an additional fee, we offer:
- touring the Tourist Route
- an expedition on the Miners’ Route – however, it requires a certain degree of fitness and physical strength
- taking advantage of therapeutic and relaxing massages that take place in the Health Resort building on the surface
- taking advantage of additional physiotherapeutic treatments, which take place in the building of the Health Resort on the surface
There are two groups in the Health Resort – morning and afternoon. Changing groups is possible only in exceptional cases and only in case of vacancies.
Smoking of tobacco and electronic cigarettes, as well as the use of any open source of fire and electric torches is strictly prohibited in the Mine. This is regulated by the provisions of geological and mining law.
- The first descent to the underground chambers of the Health Resort takes place at 10:15 a.m. and the last one at 3.15 p.m. You should always report 15 minutes before your designated descent time.
